Panel Discussion: Hate Crimes, Social Media and Justice

This event showcases a preview of the documentary "Tulsa: Hate Crime Capital," followed by a panel discussion. Exploring the the role of traditional and social media in shaping the impact of hate crimes on society, the panel will address the effectiveness of criminal laws and proceedings for the perpetrators, victims and the broader community. Filmmaker Rachel Lyon, artist in residence at the Northern Kentucky University College of Informatics, will lead the discussion along with a panel of experts in law, media and journalism.
